Please excuse my rambling here I just feel like I needed to let some of my feelings out.

just feeling this way because I feel this way.....

Sorry to my mom that I can't always be by her in her time of need......
because these magraines keep me in bed so much.........
I'm just feel ing really down at the moment that's all.
I have been thinking more of my sister Stephanie lately.
How much I miss her......
How much it hurts to not hear her voice......
or see her face.....
I had a dream last night that Stephanie had come back home....
She came through that front door.......
came in like nothing had ever happened......
that the past 2 years she was away somewhere else........
that she just came back because she missed her family......
I ran up to her gave her the biggest hug I ever remember giving her.....
crying into her shoulders.......
telling Stephanie how much I loved her.......
how much I miss her smile....
how mom loved her, how much she missed those conversations with her....
how she made mom feel like everything was gonna turn out alright in the end no matter what the situation was........
In the dream Stephanie said how much she loved me. Then I just kept holding Stephanie trying to keep her here with me ......
if for just a few more moments......

I have been really sick these pass few weeks. On Aug 13th my mom had to call 911 to get an ambulance here to take me on up to the hospital.
I had by far my worst magraine attack by far to date.!!
I had this awful sharp stabbing pains going all the way to the top of my head.
It felt like my head was gonna bust clear wide open!

Mom actually found me on the bedroom floor kicking, screaming, crying my eyes out in agony.
I don't really remember how I got down on the floor that's the scary part.
While mom tried to help me off the floor she fell into my door putting the biggest knot on the back of her head. She had big bruises up and down her leg and arms.
I worried about her metal ball coming outta place on her right hip. She had her right hip replaced back in 2001. That caused her left leg to be longer than the other.

Her doctor x-rayed her left hip on Aug 18th and this is how he put it
"Sweetheart you have no hip." They loaded me in the ambulance one of the EMS guys tried to start an IV on me, but it didn't take. I told them that I had very deep veins and it's very hard to draw blood from me. They also put these plastic tubes that went around my face to my noe to give me oxygen. I'll tell you what I was trying to yank that oxygen thingy away from my nose while they attempted to start that IV!! They said take it easy and just relax. I felt like telling'em how can anybody relax when they are shoving a needle into you!!

Mom rode in the front when the EMS guys were helping her out mom slipped on a step on the ambulance and fell out on to the hard concrete!! They had to wheel her into my room by wheelchair.
When they got me in the ER it didn't take long for me to be seen by a doctor. They made me pee in a cup. lol A first time thing for me . So was the ambulance ride! I guess one of the EMS crew workers told the doctor not to try to draw blood. Cuz mom heard a EMS guy say "You can't get blood outta a turnip."
There was a really cute male nurse there. I think his name tag said BJ or VJ can't remember. But I do remember how damn cute he was! lol He had black hair that he had spiked up really cool. The only embarrassing thing that happened was when I was coming outta the bathroom with my pee cup. The cute nurse guy came over said I'll take that for ya sweetheart you go on in your room. I'm gonna get ya a shot to get you outta that pain. He came back with a shot alright a shot full of Imtrex. He said "I'm just gonna give you a little shot in the stomach." I was like "Oh Hell No! Oh No Way!!!!"
The cute male nurse said he gets the Imtrex shot in his stomach nearly everyday. He said the needlewas cute and tiny. Can't say I thought it was cute. Man did that every sting!! But it worked quickly to rid me of my agony. I actually fell asleep there in theER! lol

Last month our computer kicked the bucket. Had to wait til the 1st to rent another computer.
I went almost a month without getting online. I was about this(--)much away from going stir crazy from it. lol
Then the stupid phone company decided to shut off our service. Mom couldn't pay'em another $152 dollars again in the same month! They are totally ripping us off!! Then I had to wait again after getting the other lap top few more days to get everything straightened out with the phone company.

I want to thank you so very much for the adorable little InuYasha keychain!! I put my mail box key on it cuz that is the only key I have. lol
But when I get my driver's license and my new converatible Bug I'm gonna put my very first car key ever on my InuYasha keychain. hee....hee....
I also want to thank you for the ooooh soooo adorable Card Captor Sakura figurine!!!
It has Sakura with Kero-Chan floating on top of the waterhose in a intertube and it has beautiful sunflowers that stand behind Sakura.
My mom even loves it!! Mom loves things with sunflowers on it!

Girl On The Dance Floor

I thought I might explain what that pic of the girl is at the very top of the page. It is supposed to be a version of myself. lol It's my yahoo avatar for my yahoo user name DixieKat99. I was trying to put it on the sidebar, but alas no such luck for me. :p

I do so love the outfit she (or should I say I? lol) is wearing. It is something that I might like to wear. I thought the hat was a nice touch off to the outfit. Although I've never been the type to wear hats or caps. I've never been on a dance floor or will I go near one.
Why some might ask? Cuz I can't dance worth a damn!

Or at least that is my opinon on the matter thus far.
Now if a nice cute guy offered to teach me to dance..........well how can a girl say no?

My Ham-Ham

HamTaro. Little Hamsters. Big Adventures.

Me and mom were at PetCo to buy goldfishes on June 1st. After mom got the goldfishes she wanted to put in the fish tank that we have in the bathroom. Me and mom went on over to see the hamsters. I love hamsters!!
My last hamster was Lita in 2000. I named her Lita after one of my fav Sailor Moon characters Sailor Jupiter. Lita was a cute tan w/white,loved her exercise wheel. Lita would stay on it til the wee hours of the morning (like almost 5 or 6 AM) you could hear the wheel going round & round & round. I think her wheel needed a little bit WD-40 sprayed on it. lol When I got to the hamsters I saw this one little hamster guy that stood out from the rest. The sudden urge to have a ham-ham played a beautiful melody on my heart strings. I kept standing in front of his display cage debating on if I should or shouldn't take on a hamster again. I took so long the little ham-ham decided to crawl into this plastic clearish yellow log and take him self a nap.
It was as if he was saying "If ya want me girl I'll be here in my log ok? GoodNight." I've had hamsters before, but never had I ever seen a dwarf hamster!! I named him HamTaro. Just like the hamster HamTaro from the anime HamTaro.

I stumbled into this website http://russiandwarfhamsters.tripod.com while I was looking for dwarf hamster pictures. I wanted to try to find a picture that looked similar to my HamTaro to show everybody. I plan on putting a link up for this site. It has useful information for anybody that is planning on choosing a dwarf hamster for a pet. There is a digital camera I saw at this pawn shop and it is only $49.99. Mom said that she would buy it for me the first of July. I'm so happy about it! I'll be able to take all the pictures I'll ever want and be able to share them here for all to see! :)

My HamTaro so far has been very sweet and gentle. I have only been nipped (meaning bit) by HamTaro twice that was when I was cleaning out his cage. Getting the soiled wood shavings, replacing it with fresh wood shavings. HamTaro is mottled with different colors of lite brown,gray and white. I haven't found a picture that resembles HamTaro yet. When I find a picture of HamTaro I'll post it on my blog. HamTaro loves to make tunnels in the soft wood shavings I've put in his cage. So far HamTaro's fav food of all is of course sunflower seeds(every hamster I've owned goes crazy for them lol), whole corn pieces. And you probably won't believe this, but HamTaro loves to eat cat food!! I learn that from that dwarf hamster site and thought I'd give it a go with HamTaro today. HamTaro went nuts for the pieces of Cat Cafe. He started stuffing his cheeks full with as many pieces of Cat Cafe as he could then ran into his plastic little tent. lol I'm going to give him the cat food pieces as a special treat. My cat Gabby loves Cat Cafe it is her fav dry cat food. Gabby gave me a funny look as I was putting her cat food into that funky looking mouse thingy's food bowl. The Cat Cafe it has 4 flavors Chicken,Turkey,Salmon and Ocean Fish.

My dad went back to PetCo to get a water bottle to put in HamTaro's cage. My dad got the smallest water bottle they had. I couldn't get the water bottle to stay hooked to the cage. Dad figured out a way to fix it so that the water bottle will stay on the cage, even if it is tilted to the side. lol


I'm gonna find every single bit of information on Dwarf Hamsters there is so that I can give my little HamTaro the best Ham-Hammy life he could ever imagine!!

I'm A Work In Process.

I have alot to post about, but I will split them up into several posts. That way it will be easy on the reader's eyes. Gabby says hello! She is in my lap while I'm writing. Lately Gabby doesn't want me to leave her. She wants to be at my side or in my lap at all times. Even when I'm in the bathroom! I tried to tell Gabby that bathroom time is momma's time. lol I usually open the closet door in the bathroom she loves being in there for some reason. I guess it is getting on our freshly cleaned towels or trying to rip the paper towels to smithereens. lol

About the title of this post.
That's what my mom says about herself. That she is a work in process. I too am a work in process. Like my weight is a work in process. I'm in the process of bringing it down. I need to work off serious pounds. It has gotten to were I don't want people to know my weight. Even though my mom says I carry my weight well. And that nobody would guess I weigh what I do. At least that's a comforting thought. But I do need to lose pounds for the sake of my health. I mean it's not good for me to keep gaining weight it's not healthy.

Anybody know any good tips on getting those pounds off? lol My mom said she is going to help me lose weight. But I also like to hear advice from others. Mom found me these weighted bands that you wear around your ankles to help lose while you take a daily walk or just doing chores around the house. There is always chores to be done in this house. lol

I know what my problem is. It is that I don't get enough exercise. When I was walking our dog Cookie I lost 4 pounds in the 4 straight days I walked. It was amazing. I need to invest in some very, very comfortable sneakers. Cuz the shoes I wore walking the dog with ended up giving me some painful blisters on both of my big toes.

Right as I was walking into my room I felt awful pain on my left foot. Turns out that the biggest blister I ever had just burst open. The pain was bad so I went to wash my foot, then put some Neosporen (or how ever it's spelled) on my toe. When I put that stuff on my toe felt like it was on fire! And it hurt like a mother f**k*r! ! !
Excuse my French ,but it did!! And I probably said every cuss word in the book while I was in that bathroom. I'm the type of person that never uses cuss words. But if I'm in a horrible bout of pain that I can't get rid of.... I just let my mouth go loose. lol

Rainy Day Friday

I don't feel like I post enough on my blog so if I ramble on a bit in this post it's because I want to make up for my lack of not being with it. lol

Yesterday all day long it rained. From sun up to sun down. Well you didn't actually get to see any sunshine to speak of.....since it was so cloudy. I don't care much for days like this, but it was a relief to finally get a break from the nasty hot days we've been having lately. I mean come on 80 degrees days in April?!! That's just not the norm here. Plus the rainy weather really makes my mom's Rheumatoid Arthritis flare up. Mom gets so stiff in her joints she can hardly move at all!! She knows it will rain before anybody else does because her left knee usually starts giving her hell. At those times there is not much mom can do.

I happened to be up yesterday around 6 am so I followed my brother Randy to the front yard and watched him take our dog Cookie for a quick walk around the corner and back. He wanted to do it then because the rain had let up. Mom wanted me out there to stand watch for Randy and make sure everything was okay. She didn't really feel comfortable with the idea of Randy being out that early by himself walking the dog. I haven't been outside of the house much since it has been so hot and humid. It felt so very good outside. It was about 66 degrees with a light breeze. You could smell the scent of rain fresh in the air. The clouds that were coming were a dark gray a sign that another storm would soon be upon us.

I probably haven't told any of my pen pals yet, but about 2 weeks ago my mom adopted a 4 year old black and tan dachshund. She named her Cookie. Mom got her as a sort of surprise for us. Boy was it ever a surprise!! Cookie is very sweet, gentle, lovable, and was all well intended to be a indoor dog except we came across this slight problem. We found that Cookie doesn't like cats. She'll bark at them, chases every cat she sees. Anybody that knows me knows this............my house is a cat heaven!!!
Here a cat, there a cat...everywhere cats, cats, cats!! Our cat Sage had 5 kittens March 20th. And Angel Baby looks like she'll drop hers any day now.

Gabby got very upset when she met Cookie. So much so that she ran up into her closet and didn't want to come back down. Not that she could have if she wanted to. Seeing that everytime Cookie saw Gabby she'd go into a barking frenzy. It was a very stressful weekend. We had to put Cookie outside because Gabby had begun to stop eating. In the end it all worked out for the best. Cookie loves being outside. She has her own doggie Igloo.

My brother Randy and my dad usually take her for a long walk everyday. I went along on some of those long walks I'll tell you my legs hurt like hell for days!! I'm just not used to getting that much exercise. *sigh* I'm so embarrassed to admit that fact. I'm so outta shape it's pitiful. Those four days that I did take those long walks I lost like 4 pounds. I think walking the dog is good exercise for me. I just need to start out on short walks and work my way up.

I got a letter yesterday from my pen pal Jodi D. Another pal I need to add to my letters in waiting to be written list. It's been a while since I've heard from Jodi. It was good to get a letter from her. I also got this little oh so adorable Easter card from my pen pal Angel who lives in the UK. She promises that a letter to me is on the way. So I'm happily waiting it's arrival. :) If by chance you're reading this Angel...................... Thank You So Much For The Easter Card!!

Letters Letters & More Letters

I've got a stack of pen pal letters on my desk. Gabby keeps getting on my desk and knocking them off to the floor. I think she's trying to tell me to get off my lazy bum
and to get to work on writing my pals back before she decides to do the work for me . lol I know what will happen if Gabby gets her paws on them .... shredded paper everywhere! That's what she did to my book Chicken Soup For The Soul. *sigh*
My headaches are not so bad now so.... hopefully I'll stay that way and get some of my writing done. Maybe even do a drawing. I haven't drawn in ages.

Weather Pixie & PostCrossing

Hi ya everyone!

Hope ya'll are feeling alright today. My head is a bit better. I'm not taking the Topamax right now. I did take it for like 4 days,but I would still have pain going straight across my forehead. All the pain else where on my head like behind my ears and temples had totally stopped. It said on the box that it could increase eye pressure and that kinda freaked me out you. I had thought that maybe my head was just sore from laying up in the bed 3 or 4 days with magraine headaches having nothing to take that really stopped the pain, but now I'm kinda scared to take the Topamax again. I mean my head is not really hurting me I don't want to send it into a downward spiral of pain and agony. The doc had called me in some med Darvocet til I could get to see him

I'm gonna have to talk to my doc about it. He told me to tell my mom if the Topamax works for her to call his office and tell him. Dr. Halim knows how shy I am. He knows I wouldn't be able to call for myself. LOL When I called my penpal in MA I was soo nervous she could probably tell by the sound of my voice. That day it got really warm outside we had turn the air conditioning on for awhile. While I talked to her I got really cold, told to hang on a sec when I came back to the phone I said I just had to turn the air off. And she was like what turn the air off? she asked what was the temp outside. She said at her house you'd hear them say turn the heat up!! I think she said it was like in the 30's.

I didn't have my CAT scan done on Monday. We had problems that day with our car, plus not to mention how early in the morning the appt was! And I know somebody would say 10:00 o'clock ain't that early. Well it is in my world. LOL I'm just not the happy morning person! They are gonna reschedule the appt hopefully I'll get an afternoon appt this time and our car won't decide to break down.

I was aimlessly searching around the web couple days ago. Meaning I was bored outta my mind I had things I could have been doing instead, but just didn't feel like doing much at the time. LOL I found a website called Postcrossing - The Postcard Crossing Project http://www.postcrossing.com/ I'm pretty sure that I will become addicted to PostCrossing just like I'm addicted to BookCrossing and I'm addicted to blogging on this blog. The Project

The goal of this project is to allow people to receive postcards from all over the world, for free. Well, almost. The main line is: if you send a postcard, you'll receive at least one back, from a random postcrosser somewhere in the world.

Why? Because there are lots of people who like to receive stuff by mail. If you add to that, the surprise factor of receiving postcards from different places in the world that you probably never heard about, you can turn your mailbox into a little surprise box.

How does it work?

First, the short version:
request an address from the website
mail the postcard to the address
wait to receive a postcard
register the received postcard in the system

The first step is to request an address of someone else registered in the system to where you must mail a postcard. You will receive that address by email, plus a postcard ID (e.g.: US-78) which uniquely identifies that postcard in the system.

Then, you must mail the postcard, and you should write on it the postcard ID given to you - that will allow the person who receives it to register that postcard on the website. That will make you the next person whose address will be given out to the next postcrosser who asks for an address to mail a postcard to.

In the end this works like a chain allowing people to receive at least two postcards when sending one: one from the person you sent the postcard to, and another from a random user of the system.

You may request up to 5 addresses at one time. When your postcards are received, and you are notified by e-mail, then you can request 5 more.

Getting CAT scan done today.

Hi ya Everyone!

I'm going to the hospital my appt is 10:00 or 10:30 am. Hopefully I'll be able to get there. The weird thing about this is the hospital I'm going to get the scan done was the hospital I was born at! Wish me good luck! I'm hoping whatever they find by doing this scan that it won't be that bad. I'll post later on when I find out what they found in the CAT scan.

Yesterday I talked on the phone with my penpal from MA. Kristen if you're reading this it was a wonderful chat we had and I hope that we can talk again soon! It was the first time I ever talked to a pen pal on the phone. It really made my day!:) I wish I could talk to more of my pen pals on the phone.

Magraine Woes

Hi ya everybody!

Hope anybody reading this feels better then I do! I've been laid up in the bed for the past 3 days cuz of the pain of my magraines. And the icy weather didn't help one little bit! I would have gone to my doc sooner, but his office lost power. Yesterday when I went for my 2:45 pm appt it was swamped since a lot of people missed there usual appt.

I almost didn't go I had a hard time getting outta bed I felt so weak it was a cold misty rain outside , but I'm glad I went and stuck out the wait. The pain is all the way from my forehead and goes around behind my ears to the base of my neck. The left side is the side that hurts the worst. My doc give me more pain med and gave a different magraine med to try called Topomax. Last month he tried me on Propranlol or however it's spelled. I took it for 3 weeks and it didn't help my magraines. He ordered for me to get a CAT scan. They'll probably do that at the hospital sometime next week.

My mom goes to the doc tomorrow. We both see the same doc he's the best doc I've been to. She is gonna ask when my CAT scan will be she might get them to do it Friday. I'll have to wait and see. At least I wouldn't be scared this time. Last time when I had my first scan done in Aug 2004 I was sooo nervous. Luckily the nurse that wheeled me on up there happened to be related to me. lol

We'll be getting a newer vehicle soon. Thank goodness!! Something with heat/air and that goes forward and reverse! No more pushing the car to get it outta of the parking lot. lol We did our taxes and now mom's looking around for maybe a truck or van. We did run into some awful news when mom filed her taxes. Nobody would is gonna believe this, but my sister Holly 29 claimed one of my brothers on her taxes!!!! Hooo Boy is she in a hell of a lot trouble the IRS is after her ass now. It made my mom just so sick,angry, pissed off you name it she felt it. How could one of her own children do something so dirty to her?

Making Valentines

Hi ya everyone!

I'm making valentines for all of my 28 penpals. I've got 20 left to do. Hopefully I'll get them all done before Valentine's Day. lol I was very sick over the weekend. I had a fever and I felt like throwing up which I did a couple of times ewww.... I hate throwing up! I'd rather do anything, but throw up!

Say A Prayer For Muffin

It's going to be a really sad day and it's only 8:30 in the morning. Our kitten Muffin who turned 4 months old Jan 2 is dying. Just 2 days ago she was fine then last night she just went down hill not eating, not drinking. We tried getting Muffin to drink,but she won't drink. Lately all the kittens we've had do this. I guess it's just bad genetics. It's so heartbreaking to have to go through this over and over again.

I guess we're going to have to give our female cats up. Mom is friends with a nice woman Ann who takes in cats. She lives by herself in a 3 story house. The top floor rooms she turned them into rooms for her cats. Over the summer we had about 6 kittens we gave to her and she found great homes for all of them.

My mom is really sad about losing Muffin. Muffin was her cat. Mom would joke around saying I draw cats to me. That she doesn't have a chance to bond with one. So I let Muffin have time to bond with mom. While mom was trying to bond Muffin kept coming over to me and sitting on my lap. lol I'd always put Muffin back with mom,but she'd end up wanting to be in my lap.Which wasn't always available since it happens to be Gabby's lap. lol It's not my lap anymore Gabby has claimed it! lol In the end Muffin did bond with mom. Muffin would follow mom around everywhere mom went just like Gabby follows me everywhere that I go. It'll be sad not having her here anymore. Gabby had just started to get used to Muffin being inside.
